Exteria’s replica products are made from durable, mineral-filled Polypropylene. But what is polypropylene exactly? It’s one of the world’s safest, most versatile polymers used in both residential and commercial construction. We choose to use this base because it’s able to withstand the elements and look great for years to come.

Exteria Building Products come in two distinctive styles: solid and weathered. Solids, such as the Classic Series, are color-through with the color embedded in the panel itself. This produces rich colors that are resistant to surface scratches. The second style adds a top-coat applied to the base color molded in the panel that creates the appearance of real aged cedar or a very realistic brick or stone.
This top coat ups the ante with natural shading, highlights and textures available only through our proprietary manufacturing process. In fact, our cedar process was the first to successfully imitate the life cycle of natural cedar, offering a range of colors that depict the look of natural cedar, from newly installed to years of sun exposure.
Aesthetics for both styles are derived from, and meant to mimic, natural materials so irregularities in grain and finishes are considered normal and desired.
